Canton Elementary School STEM Academy's David Cornn is the school's 2017 Teacher of the Year. Cornn, a past school Teacher of the Year who teaches in the school's STEM lab, is in his 21st year of teaching and previously taught sixth-grade science, social studies and reading. "He amazes and wows the students daily in the STEM lab. He is our very own super hero!" Principal Beth P. Long said. Cornn is eligible for the honor of Cherokee County School District's 2017 Teacher of the Year, to be announced in the fall.
