AJC Sepia Greek Spotlight: The Founders of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. was founded on Jan. 15, 1908 on the campus of Howard University. Forming the sorority, the first of its kind for black women, broke barriers for black women who at the time had lacked power, authority and opportunities.
