Lil Wayne was aboard a private plane Monday that was searched by federal agents for guns and drugs, according to several media reports.

When the rapper's plane landed at the Miami-Opa locka Executive Airport from California, federal authorities stopped and searched it, according to the Miami Herald. The search uncovered cocaine and a firearm on the aircraft, according to law enforcement sources who spoke to the newspaper.

Miami-Dade Police had reportedly received a tip about weapons and marijuana possibly being transported on the plane. The federal search included investigators with the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and other agencies, according to the Herald.

Howard Srebnick, Lil Wayne’s defense attorney, said the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, was “cleared” to leave the scene Monday evening by federal investigators.

Later Monday night, the Billboard chart-topping emcee seemed to joke about the incident on Twitter, alluding to his prior tweet sent in support of the Green Bay Packers.

“ ‘All goody! I think they thought I was talking about a different “Pack” in my last tweet.’ ”
