Osteen was forced to end in-person services, which would typically draw as many as 50,000 people, last month due to the coronavirus outbreak. With Easter being a typically grandiose occasion, sources close to Osteen say he plans to welcome several big names through live stream, according to TMZ.
Some of the celebrities who will be joining remotely include Kanye West, Mariah Carey and Tyler Perry on Easter Sunday.
Atlanta-based Tyler Perry's plan is set to deliver words of encouragement to the viewers watching online, sources told TMZ. West, who is based in Los Angeles, will reportedly perform with his choir, likely a smaller crew than usual due to social distancing.
Our sources say Kanye and his Sunday Service crew will be performing in L.A. and it will be broadcast over Osteen's megachurch feed.
Grammy award-winning Carey will participate in a special tribute to medical professionals and first responders who continue to save lives and risk their own amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the sources. She will reportedly sing “Hero.”
