An Iowa couple is accused of leaving their 9-month-old girl home alone for several hours while they went to a bar, KCCI reported.

Bryan Austin McCrea Bozarth, 22, and Ashley Lee Routh King, 20, of Urbandale, were charged with child endangerment, the television station reported. King also faces charges of underage drinking.

Police were called to the couple's home just after midnight Friday for a welfare check after neighbors reported that the toddler was home alone, KCCI reported. Police said the child was left unattended for three hours, the Des Moines Register reported. According to a criminal complaint, the girl was inside a crib in the back bedroom, wearing one sock and a full diaper.

Both Bozarth and King were intoxicated, KCCI reported, citing the criminal complaint. The child was placed with a family friend.

The couple has bonded out of the Polk County Jail, the television station reported.
