A busy road in Youngstown, Ohio is back open after icy conditions caused a 40-car pileup.

Police say a driver rear-ended a car, which caused several others to slide into the crash. Witnesses say cars went sideways.

"Full speed, all these cars were just swinging, crashing banging us, this is the wildest thing I've ever seen," said one witness

Some drivers were stranded for hours, while crews worked to free the cars involved.
