Police say the victims of a double shooting in southwest Atlanta Thursday morning shot each other, and the man who survived the incident now faces a murder charge.

The shooting happened about 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Moury Avenue SW off Pryor Road. Police found one man dead and the other man, 37-year-old Leonard Knight, injured. The latter was taken to Grady in critical condition.

Knight was being treated at Grady Memorial Hospital Friday night. It was there that police served him with a murder charge, Atlanta police spokesman Officer John Chafee said Friday night, as the preliminary investigation indicated that he and the deceased shot one another.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner has identified the deceased man as Darius Gordon, 32, of Ellenwood.
