Austell lies at Cobb's southern border and boasts a "friendly, small town atmosphere," according to the city's website. That small-town atmopshere comes at a small price, according to data from Trulia, a website offering real estate and housing data.
Trulia calculated that the average home in Austell costs about $70 per square foot. Homes built in the southern U.S. in 2010 reached an average of about 2,400 square feet, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
That means an average house in Austell likely costs about $168,000.
Compare that to an average size house in Vinings, which would cost about $460,000. Trulia calculated that the average home in Cobb's most expensive area would cost about $192, 000.

Technically, Vinings is an unincorporated city located along the Chattahoochee River, about 10 miles from Downtown Atlanta. It claims to be known as "one of the best shopping destinations in the Southeast," according to Vinings.com.
