A Gwinnett County man was shot and wounded late Wednesday night after two men tried to force their way into his home.
Channel 2 Action News reported that someone knocked on the door of the victim’s home on Old Cumming Road near Buford just before midnight, and when the man opened the door, two men with their faces covered got into a struggle with the victim.
During the struggle, the victim was shot several times. His attackers also shot his dog, Channel 2 reported.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not immediately available.
Police told Channel 2 that the victim told investigators that the suspects tried to rob him.
