He’s usually wearing a hat and is believed to have a gun when he walks into CVS pharmacies, according to police. Then, the man demands the powerful pain medication Dilaudid.
Investigators in four jurisdictions are asking for the public’s help to identify the man, the GBI said Thursday. The same man is believed responsible for multiple armed robberies that began in October, according to police.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, Blairsville Police Department and Calhoun Police Department are involved in the investigation, the GBI said.
In the Cherokee County case, the man told employees he had a gun, but did not show the weapon, Lt. Jay Baker said. When he was told the pharmacy did not have Dilaudid, the man left, Baker said.
