Fund set to help family of man killed outside Atlanta Kroger

A fund has been set up to help the family of Josh Richey, the construction worker is survived by four children after he was shot and killed in a Kroger parking lot in Atlanta Tuesday afternoon.

Richey’s employer, RGWilliams Construction of Homer, Ga., set up the Josh Richey Memorial Fund. Donations can be made at any SunTrust Bank, according to Phyllis Carter, the company’s CFO.

The account number for the fund is 1000177716346.

Richey, 38, of Hayden, Ala., was killed during an apparent attempt to steal his work truck outside the supermarket on Ponce de Leon. A co-worker said Richey went to his truck when he saw a man inside it and the man shot him in the chest.

Police released a surveillance video that shows the suspects and the car they are believed to have used to get away, a black BMW. Police have not publicly identified any suspects
