It will be a Christmas visit to metro Atlanta one Florida woman will never forget.

Elsie Torres, 52, of Sunny Isles Beach, Fla., won a $1 million top prize playing the new instant game Millionaire Monopoly while visiting her daughter.

Torres claimed her prize Wednesday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.

She bought her ticket at Publix Super Market, 930 New Hope Road in Lawrenceville.

The mother of three adult children scratched the $10 ticket at her daughter’s home.

“I thought I’d won $10,000, but I didn’t have on my glasses,” she said. “Then, I thought I’d won $100,000, and we all were emotional over that.”

Torres’s son confirmed the $1 million prize.

“It made for the best Christmas ever,” she said.

Excited over her windfall, Torres said she has no plans at the moment.
