A man accused of shooting and killing a woman in her car as she drove westbound on Ga. 92 is the woman’s husband, Woodstock police said.

“The individuals were married but separated,” police spokeswoman Brittany Duncan said Wednesday afternoon.

Darrell L. Eaker II, 43, of Ball Ground, has been charged with malice murder and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting death of Audra Eaker.

Officers responded to a person shot call near Indian Valley Drive about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Duncan said. Audra Eaker, also 43 and from Ball Ground, was pronounced dead on the scene. Her husband was taken into custody.
