Detectives are investigating a shooting in northwest Atlanta that left a woman with serious injuries early Saturday.

According to preliminary reports from Atlanta police, the victim was shot just after 3 a.m. near an apartment building in the 200 block of Troy Street. She was in serious condition when paramedics rushed her to a hospital.

Homicide detectives were later called to the scene to investigate “due to the severity of the victim’s condition,” an APD spokesman said. An update on her condition was not provided.

There were no suspects in custody as of Saturday afternoon.
