According to the Philadelphia news station, Roberson is one of four men suspected in Jefferson’s killing, which authorities described as an “ambush.” The group, all in their 20s, pulled up in at least one car to a bus stop where Jefferson was waiting around 3:30 p.m. They chased the 14-year-old on a busy street in broad daylight, firing dozens of shots and hitting the teen more than 10 times.

Jefferson was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, KYW reported. Two men were previously arrested in connection with the deadly shooting: 20-year-old Quadir Johnson and 21-year-old Kyair Garnett. Police are still searching for a fourth suspect, 23-year-old Jahlil Williams.

More than a month after Jefferson’s death, Oakwood officers were called to Walmart in response to a fraud in progress. At the scene, they took Roberson into custody without incident, police said. A second suspect was also arrested, but their identity was not released. Oakwood police did not say if the second suspect was linked to Jefferson’s death.

Roberson was booked into the Hall County Jail on charges of theft by deception, first-degree forgery and giving a false name to police, according to online jail records. He is being held without bond due to the arrest warrant in Pennsylvania.

No further information has been released, and Oakwood police did not say if or when Roberson will be extradited to Pennsylvania.
