Law enforcement agencies around Atlanta and Georgia offered their condolences late Thursday after two Cobb County deputies were killed in the line of duty.

“Our condolences go out to Cobb County Sheriff Craig Owens and the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office after the loss of two deputies tonight in the line of duty,” the GBI posted on Twitter.

The two deputies, whose names were not released late Thursday, were killed while serving a warrant at a home in a Marietta neighborhood. Few details were released while the investigation continues.

“Our thoughts, hearts and prayers are with you,” the Atlanta police department posted on Facebook.

Other agencies echoed the sentiments on social media.

“Our prayers are with them and the families affected during this difficult time,” the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office said.

The East Point police department also posted condolences on Facebook.

“Tonight we join our brothers and sisters of the Thin Blue Line in mourning the loss of two Cobb County deputies,” the department said.
