Authorities released video footage Monday of a suspect accused of stabbing a man to death in downtown Atlanta over the weekend.

The victim, a 54-year-old man, was found early Saturday in the 100 block of Trinity Avenue, Atlanta police said. He was later identified as Erman P. Hendricks Jr. by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Officers responded to the location near Atlanta City Hall and an apartment complex around 4:25 a.m. Authorities said they found Hendricks suffering from an apparent stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, investigators believe the victim was stabbed by another man in an unprovoked attack. Police shared video footage from multiple surveillance cameras downtown that showed a bearded man they believe to be the suspect wearing light-colored sweatpants, a dark hoodie and a light-colored scarf.

Anyone with information is asked to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta by calling 404-577-TIPS (8477), visiting www.StopCrimeATL.org or by texting CSGA and the tip to 738477.
