Police are looking for an “armed and dangerous” suspect accused of shooting a man in Clayton County over the weekend.

Bryant Kelsey, 34, who has been on the run since Saturday’s shooting in Jonesboro, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Clayton County police said.

“Please call 911 immediately if contact is made,” police added.

Officers responded around 2:30 a.m. to a shots-fired call in the 700 block of Mount Zion Road near U.S. 41. When they arrived, they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, who was not publicly identified, was taken to a hospital in critical condition and remains there as of Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the men got into an argument before Kelsey took out a gun and shot the victim. The suspect was last seen driving his mother’s black Cadillac, authorities said.
