A tip from a shooting victim who showed up at an Atlanta hospital on Monday night led Gwinnett County police to discover a man’s body inside a mobile home.

Investigators believe the body of 23-year-old Leon Summers was inside the home on Mountain Drive since the double shooting sometime Sunday. Two men, 20-year-old Geno Hall of Stone Mountain and 19-year-old Myles Coston of Rex, were later identified as suspects in his death, Gwinnett police said in a news release.

According to police, the first victim arrived at Grady Memorial Hospital shortly before 11 p.m. Monday and said he was involved in a shooting on Mountain Drive “within the past couple of days.” The man, whose injuries were not considered life-threatening, said there was possibly another victim still in the home.

Homicide detectives worked the scene for several hours early Tuesday in the Valley Brook mobile home community, not far from DeShong Park on Rockbridge Road. After canvassing the neighborhood and collecting additional evidence, they tied Hall and Coston to the case, according to police spokesperson Sgt. Michele Pihera.

While a motive was not released, Pihera said it appears the surviving victim shot in self-defense.

Hall was arrested Thursday and is being held in the Gwinnett jail on charges of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a gun during the commission of a felony.

Coston was arrested in Lamar County and expected to be brought back to Gwinnett, police said in a Friday news release. He is facing the same charges as Hall and an additional charge of home invasion, according to police.
