A Macon man accused of raping a 14-year-old girl was in jail without bond Sunday morning, according to the Macon Telegraph.

Shonquavious Dequan Mitchell, 20, faces a rape charge in connection to an Oct. 12 incident at an apartment complex.

When a Macon woman came home from work on that day, her daughter said she’d been assaulted and the mom called police.

She told police her daughter and two other children were at the apartment when a man known only as “Woodie” came by.

The 14-year-old would only tell her mother Woodie “forced her to” after he “got her to go to the back room, according to the incident report from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
