A woman faces identity theft charges in two metro Atlanta counties after she was caught using one of the victims’ information to open a loan.
One of the victims said Roswell police told her about the fraudulent activity weeks after Equifax notified her that her data was compromised during their breach, Channel 2 Action News reported.
“I was a little surprised and annoyed,” the Marietta woman told the news station. She asked not to be identified.

Authorities arrested Nicole Adrian Robinson and charged her with identity theft fraud, theft by taking and unlawful possession, display or use of any false, fraudulent or altered identification document, according to Fulton County jail records.
Robinson used the woman’s identity to take out a $7,500 loan at OneMain Financial, according to a police report. Robinson identified herself as the victim and used the woman’s social security card, a fake ID, W-2, pay stubs and utility bill during the transaction, police said.
“She was attempting to do this again in Gwinnett (County) and was caught in the middle of the transaction,” Roswell police Officer Lisa Holland told Channel 2.
Robinson also faces charges of forgery and giving a false name in Gwinnett, according to jail records.
Holland said Robinson also stole a Puerto Rico woman’s identity.
Robinson is out of the Fulton County jail on an $8,000 signature bond.
