A woman was taken to the hospital after being hit by a MARTA bus Tuesday evening in Midtown, authorities said.

The incident occurred at 10th and West Peachtree streets about 6:45 p.m., MARTA spokeswoman Stephany Fisher said.

The woman was conscious at the scene, but complained of a foot injury, said Atlanta fire spokesman Sgt. Cortez Stafford. She was taken to a nearby hospital.

MARTA is investigating.
