Beetlejuice has been busted.
Or, at least the woman wearing the costume from the 1998 movie has surrendered in a hit-and-run captured on video, Atlanta police said Wednesday.
Jonna Capehart, 26, was cited for failure to maintain lane and duty upon striking unattended vehicle, Sgt. Warren Pickard said.
Around 2:30 a.m. Oct. 25, a costumed woman hit a parked Mercedes on Waldo Street, near Grant Park, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.
Video showed the woman strike the car and nearly flip her own car before getting out of her car to inspect the damage. Three minutes later, two costumed friends stopped to help the woman, the video shows.
A neighbor, Rob Fitzgerald, returned home about two minutes after the crash and took pictures. Fitzgerald was able to get a picture of the driver’s tag, and the information was reported to Atlanta police.
Capehart has a court appearance scheduled for Dec. 10 at 8 a.m., police said.
