Hall County deputies are searching for two men they say broke broke into an SUV on Valentine's Day.

Hall County deputies hope newly released surveillance footage will help generate leads in a Valentine’s Day smash-and-grab case.

The video, recorded outside a business in the 1600 block of Jesse Jewell Parkway, shows two men pull into a parking spot next to an SUV before one of them gets out, shatters a window and removes a backpack from the adjacent vehicle.

The incident occurred about about noon on Feb. 14, investigators say.

The owner of the SUV told deputies she received calls from her credit card company informing her that someone tried to purchase items at a nearby store, police said.

The men were seen driving a newer model white Hyundai Santa Fe with tag number RDB4855, but the license plate belongs to a different vehicle, police said.

Anyone with information about the suspected auto break-in is asked to call investigators at 770-533-7729.
