Update: Man shot to death outside Gwinnett apartments identified

Gwinnett County police Friday identified a man found shot to death in the parking lot of an apartment complex as Kevin Rivera, 21, of Norcross.

According to police, a witness heard multiple gunshots as he walked through the parking lot of the Forest Vale Apartments on Forest Vale Lane near Norcross. As the witness continued walking, he discovered the victim lying in the lot and called 911.

When officers arrived several minutes later, Rivera was dead with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
