A University of Georgia student said she was raped at one of the school’s East Campus Village dormitories Friday night.

According to campus police, the 19-year-old student said she was sexually battered by one individual, then raped by another at McWhorter Hall. When she met with police early Saturday morning, the woman said she knew both of her alleged attackers. Their names have not been released.

The Athens Banner-Herald filed a request for the alleged suspects' names and any additional reports in which they are identified. The university denied the request.

The case is under investigation by the UGA Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. The police report said the case was also referred to the University Health Center’s Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention program.
