A former University of Georgia football player is hospitalized in Columbus following a fight at the Muscogee County Jail, according to multiple media reports.

Quintavius Harrow, 27, was booked into jail last Thursday on several charges and was involved in a fight with a fellow inmate, Sheriff Donna Tompkins told news station WRBL-TV. He's accused of being the aggressor and attacking the other inmate with hair clippers.

However, the incident landed him in Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital on Tuesday. Tompkins told news station WTVM-TV that Harrow's injuries are non-life-threatening.

No other information on the fight was released. The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.

Harrow was arrested on charges of theft by receiving, terroristic threats, possession and use of drug-related objects, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, reckless conduct and probation violation, online jail records show.

He was a standout at Carver High School in Columbus, earning a scholarship to go to UGA in 2011. He was also joined by his cousin, Isaiah Crowell.

Neither player remained on the team for long. Harrow was dismissed for academic reasons, while Crowell was released following a gun possession charge in the summer of 2012. That charge was later dismissed.

Crowell eventually made it to the NFL, playing multiple seasons with the Cleveland Browns before joining the Las Vegas Raiders. However, Harrow’s legal issues would dwarf those of his cousin.

He was sentenced in 2016 to four years in prison followed by six years on probation in connection with two armed robberies. He was granted time served, so he didn’t spend that full sentence behind bars.
