A 23-year-old man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man outside a northwest Atlanta restaurant, police confirmed.

Cornelius Morgan is the third arrest in the June 13 shooting that killed Antwan Jones, Atlanta police said. Last month, police arrested Willie Fred Morgan, 23, and Shabazz Clay, 22, in connection with the crime. Each man faces murder charges, according to Fulton County jail records.

According to a police report, Jones, 39, of College Park, and his brother had gotten into an argument with Clay and Willie Morgan at a Valero gas station in the 3100 block of Hollowell Parkway.

After the argument, Jones left the location and walked to a nearby American Wings Seafood restaurant.

“At some point, (Jones) exited the restaurant and was confronted by several males inside vehicles,” according to the report.

During the altercation, police said the men pulled guns as Jones ran across the busy road. Jones was shot several times before he fell dead in a nearby Petro gas station parking lot.

Police said Cornelius Morgan is a suspected shooter.

All three men remained in the Fulton County jail Monday.
