Teen jailed over online threat of shooting at Cobb high school

A Cobb County teenager remained in jail Tuesday after allegedly posting a picture on social media of a hand holding a gun and a threatening message.

Jaion De’Ayre Nash posted the threat against Osborne High School on Friday morning, his arrest warrant states.

“I wouldn’t go to the O today,” Nash posted, according to school police.

The post was reported to school administrators and parents, causing some to call the school fearing a possible shooting. It was not known whether Nash attended the school.

Nash was arrested Friday morning at his home and charged with terroristic threats and disruption of public school, Cobb jail records showed. He was being held Tuesday afternoon on $25,000 bond.
