A 17-year-old girl who Atlanta police thought might have been kidnapped was found in good condition Friday.

Japorcha Wilson was found at 3350 Mt. Gilead Road in southwest Atlanta, Sgt. John Chafee said.

“At this time, investigators are speaking with her to determine the circumstances surrounding her disappearance,” Chafee said.

Police said Saturday the case is no longer being investigated as a kidnapping.

“Ms. Wilson gave multiple different accounts of what took place at the time she went missing,” Officer Jarius Daugherty said in a statement. “She later stated that she willingly went with a male that she met on November 1, and advised that she was not harmed by that person in any way.”

She was reported missing Thursday, after her mother last saw the teen at a home on Booker Street in southwest Atlanta last Friday.

Earlier Friday, police said Wilson was seen Thursday at the same Mt. Gilead Road location with two men.

“Security issued criminal trespass warnings to all three and directed them to leave the property,” Chafee said.

Later Friday, Chafee said investigators had spoken with both men and did not suspect them of being involved in any criminal activity.
