Nearly two months after a man fought with several men and was shot and killed, Atlanta police have made an arrest in the case.

Kevin Lamar Jones, 38, was charged Tuesday with murder in connection with the death of Juan Alarcon, police spokesman Donald Hannah said Wednesday.

Jones was taken to the Fulton County jail without incident.

He did not receive bond in his first court appearance Wednesday, according to Tracy Flanagan of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 28, officers responded to the shooting in the 2700 block of Revere Drive in northwest Atlanta and found Alarcon with multiple wounds. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

According to police, Alarcon argued with several men before the shooting. Men were seen leaving the area in a gold or brown Nissan Sentra, according to police.
