Students return to Atlanta’s Washington High School after bomb scare
Students were allowed back inside Washington High School on Monday after a sweep of the school determined there was no bomb inside the southwest Atlanta building.
“All clear,” police spokeswoman Elizabeth Espy told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an email. “Nothing found. Kids back in school.”
About 10:40 a.m. Monday, students and staff were evacuated while authorities searched the school, she told The AJC. Authorities responded to the school after a receiving a report of a bomb threat, according to police dispatchers.
