Authorities are searching for the person who fired shots on the Macon campus of Central Georgia Technical College.

About 11:20 a.m. Monday, students received an emergency alert about an active shooter, and the school was put on lockdown, school spokeswoman Janet Kelly told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Bibb County sheriff’s Lt. Randy Gonzalez told The Macon Telegraph about three shots were fired after an argument in the college’s cafeteria spilled outside Building I. No one was injured in the shooting, but three men wearing blue jeans, white T-shirts and red sweatbands, sped away from the scene in a black Ford Crown Victoria, the newspaper reported.

Police lifted the lockdown about 12:20 p.m. after checking every building on campus, Kelly said.

While the shooter has not been arrested, Kelly said: “The campus is safe. A full sweep of the campus has been conducted.”

The Bibb sheriff’s office is conducting a full investigation, Kelly said.
