Roswell man gets prison sentence for molesting 13-year-old
A Roswell man has pleaded guilty to molesting a 13-year-old girl while in Rhode Island to attend a funeral.
Theodore Gathmann, 20, was sentenced to 25 years in prison with 12 to serve in the December 2015 incident, according to a news release from the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office.
Gathmann molested the girl while the two were staying with family in Newport, R.I., for a relative’s funeral, according to the release. The victim told her mother, who called the police.
The relationship between Gathmann and the victim was not given.
Gathmann must undergo sex offender counseling and register as a sex offender.
