Police are trying to identify a vehicle they believe was involved in a fatal shooting in a southwest Atlanta neighborhood.

A man found with multiple gunshot wounds is believed to have been shot by a passing vehicle, Atlanta police spokesman Investigator James White said in a statement Tuesday.

The department released a video of the vehicle it believes is tied to the incident, which happened about 8:45 a.m. on Oct. 15 in the 400 block of Fennel Way, officials said. In the video, which does not depict the shooting, a black SUV can be seen driving along the street, before disappearing out of frame.

Emergency medical services arrived and tried to aid the man, but he was pronounced dead, according to the incident report.

Officials are still investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact Atlanta police. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
