Police in Sacramento were conducting a door-to-door manhunt Thursday evening after a gunman shot three people, killing one of them, near a softball field on the campus of Sacramento City College.
One of the surviving victims was severely wounded and another sustained a minor wound, police said.
The shooting happened shortly before 4 p.m.
Around 6:30 p..m., the Sacramento police chief said the campus was "clear" and the investigation was ongoing.
