Atlanta police late Wednesday released composite sketches of a pair of suspects sought in a homicide last month in southwest Atlanta.

On Aug. 23, police were called to the 4000 block of Danforth Road where 21-year-old Timmy Ashley was found shot to death.

Fulton County police had been called to an armed robbery around the same time — around midnight — in an unincorporated Fulton area nearby, police report.

Investigators believe the same men responsible for the robbery may have been responsible for the shooting.

Police said they are circulating the sketches in the hope members of the public will recognize one or both men and report them to investigators.

Anyone with information is asked to call Atlanta police homicide investigators at 404-546-4235, Fulton County police investigators at 404-613-6600 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
