An early-morning argument turned to gunfire Friday morning inside a crowded SUV, DeKalb County Police say.

One man was shot in the arm and at least two people are in police custody, police Lt. Dane Cunningham said.

The 18-year-old gunshot victim was shot in the left arm and is in stable condition at Grady Memorial Hospital, Cunningham said.

“He got into a dispute with the seven people we was riding with in the SUV,“ he said.

The vehicle stopped at the BP at the corner of Wesley Chapel Road and Flat Shoals Parkway near Decatur.

Police found the victim walking with three other people from the vehicle not far from the gas station, police said.

Investigators determined that the SUV, which police have confiscated, had been stolen from Cobb County, Cunningham said.

The gunman remains at large, and charges are pending against the individuals in custody.
