A man who posed on Facebook as an Atlanta rapper allegedly lured two women to an Alabama park where he raped and robbed them.

The man represented himself as rapper Issa Thompson, according to al.com. Thompson, 20, is regarded as a popular, up-and-coming young talent in the hip hop industry.

Aaron Hall, 20, was jailed and charged with first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy and one count of first-degree robbery, the site reported.

The two women were sexually assaulted at Kentuck Park in Northport, Ala., June 30 and July 5 after going to meet a man they thought was Thompson, authorities said.

Investigators prevented another assault in the same park Wednesday morning and later arrested Hall at a nearby apartment building.

Police are asking that anyone who has recently been contacted by someone posing as Issa Thompson contact the Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide Unit at 205-464-8690.
