Police said they caught a man using his 11-year-old daughter to steal hundreds of dollars worth of work boots from a Lawrenceville Walmart, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Surveillance photos allegedly show Lawrence Foxx leaving the Walmart on Collins Hill Road with boxes of work boots, which were pushed by his daughter in a cart. This happened on two occasions, police said.
“From what the daughter told one of the officers at the scene, she was doing what her father told her to do,” Lawrenceville police Lt. Jake Parker told Channel 2.

Walmart security said the father and daughter ran away before they could be questioned, Channel 2 reported. Lawrenceville police stopped his car a few minutes later, and Foxx allegedly called it “a misunderstanding” on his daughter’s part.
He said he was getting some food, but his daughter thought they were leaving, Channel 2 reported.
“It bothers you when someone involved their child to break the law,” Parker told the news station.
Foxx faces two counts of felony shoplifting and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to Gwinnett County jail records. He was denied bond.
