Police are looking for a pair of men responsible for a fatal apparent walk-up shooting of motorists last week in south Fulton County.
Glentis Wheeler, 44, or Riverdale, was killed at the scene Wednesday afternoon when he was shot in the head inside his SUV, Fulton County police said.
Witnesses told police that as Wheeler’s maroon Ford Expedition came to a stop at the intersection of Westford Circle and Deerfield Trail near College Park, two men approached and opened the driver’s side door.
One of the men fired once into the vehicle, then turned to high-five his companion before the two calmly walked away along Deerfield Trail, police said.
The vehicle was still running and rolled from the intersection to the front of a home in the 5400 block of Westford Circle, where a neighbor stopped the car and turned the engine off before calling police, according to police records.
The suspects were described as two males between 19 and 20 years old. One was wearing a red shirt and a baseball cap and weighed between 170 and 180 pounds. The other was described as thinner, weighing between 150 and 160 pounds.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
