Gwinnett County police are investigating the “vicious” attack and robbery of a man that occurred at a Peachtree Corners apartment complex earlier this month.

Police said the victim was assaulted after meeting with a female acquaintance at the Valencia Park apartments around midnight July 6. According to a report, he was bound and “severely beaten” before the suspects stole his wallet, money, car keys and 2001 Chevrolet Suburban.

The victim identified Candice Reynolds, 23, from a photo lineup as the woman he met. She was captured on video surveillance using the victim’s stolen credit card at a gas station on Pleasant Hill Road the morning after the robbery, according to the report.

Police said Reynolds has active arrest warrants for robbery out of Gwinnett.

Neighbors told police they saw Reynolds with a black man with a cross tattoo on his neck just hours before the assault. Authorities later identified Kenneth Starks, 25, as matching that description. He is wanted out of Crisp County for a probation violation.
