Police investigating body found in northwest Atlanta

The Atlanta police department’s homicide unit is investigating the discovery of a body near Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway.

Police confirmed a body was found Monday afternoon in the wooded area next to a Family Dollar store in the 2500 block of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway NW.

“No word as to whether foul play is suspected at this time,” Officer Ralph Woolfolk said.

The Atlanta police homicide unit, as well as the Fulton County Medical Examiner, were reporting to the scene.

No further details were immediately available.
