Police are investigating a man shot to death outside a Gwinnett County hotel room Thursday afternoon.
Around 2 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the Ramada Inn at 5885 Oakbrook Parkway near Norcross where they found Dewayne Jackson’s body, police said.
Investigators are still seeking a motive, police spokesman Corporal Jake Smith said.
Jackson, 33, had been released on bond in January from the Gwinnett County jail after serving time for an alleged October robbery at another hotel, police said.
“We don’t think it was a robbery and we don’t think it was random,” Smith said.
The investigation is ongoing.
