A homeless man in New Mexico who managed to get himself locked inside a Walmart overnight is accused of consuming and damaging merchandise, police said.

George Suckow, 37, hid in a bathroom until Walmart employees had left and locked up the store early Friday, KOB reported. He spent the night eating chocolate and drinking soda, then opened a pack of adult diapers and put one on, according to the criminal complaint. Suckow then headed to the baby supply aisle, where he opened baby diapers, baby wipes, a pacifier and a bottle, KOB reported.

Suckow's movements triggered an alarm and he was found in the store's bathroom, police said.

Suckow was charged with commercial burglary, and is accused of damaging $156 in merchandise, KOB reported.

The investigation caused nearby stores to have delayed openings for Black Friday, police said.
