Pedestrian critical after hit and run at I-85 in Brookhaven

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at the I-85 southbound ramp from North Druid Hills Road in Brookhaven on Monday night.

The man, who was not identified, was in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital, Brookhaven Police Maj. Brandon Gurley said.

The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. A witness in the area alerted police and said a newer red pickup truck had hit the pedestrian.
