A Riverdale police officer was injured Wednesday after she crashed her patrol car at the intersection of Walker Road and King Road in Clayton County, the Georgia State Patrol said.

The woman was taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where she is being evaluated, GSP officials said. Her condition was not released. She was alert at the hospital, Channel 2 reported.
“She does have some injuries,” Riverdale City Manager Scott Wood told Channel 2. “We do not believe at this point they are life-threatening.”
Douglas Warle, one of the first on the scene after the crash, didn’t know if the officer survived so he began trying to revive her.
“I saw her. She was slumped over. She wasn't moving at all,” he told the news station. “She just had blood dripping down from her head.”
Authorities are withholding the officer’s name until they can notify her family of the crash.
No other details were released.
