Two people from Tennessee are accused of shooting at a woman’s home in Bartow County and trying to break in as part of a targeted attack.

Wilmar Perez, 36, and Katherine Barlow, 28, both of Cleveland, Tenn., face multiple charges related to the incident, which authorities said was “not a random crime.”

Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap said a woman called deputies just before 1 p.m. March 11 and said a man was outside her home. She told deputies he fired shots at her door.

When deputies arrived, they stopped a black SUV that was leaving the driveway, Millsap said.

Barlow, who was driving, and Perez were arrested at the scene. Investigators said everyone involved knew each other.

Perez is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, criminal trespass, second-degree burglary and theft by taking.

Barlow is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and second-degree burglary.

They are being held in the Bartow County jail pending a Superior Court bond hearing.
