Authorities in Clayton County took a 24-year-old man into custody Thursday after he barricaded himself inside an  apartment in Clayton County.

Bryan Corsey, 24, is charged with murder and aggravated assault on warrants out of Chester County, Pa., Clayton County police spokeswoman Marcena Davis said.

About noon, U.S. Marshals tried to contact Corsey at the Flint River Crossing apartments in Jonesboro about the warrants.

“Upon making contact, Corsey barricaded himself inside the bathroom of his apartment,” Davis said. “Negotiators attempted for several hours to convince Corsey to exit the bathroom, but were unsuccessful.”

Officers deployed chemical agents inside the apartment, and Corsey was arrested without incident.

It’s not known if Corsey was armed. No injuries were reported.
