Police in Clayton County arrested a mother they say brutally beat a day care teacher in front of students.

Ebony Mikeall Moore was booked into the Clayton jail Friday on riot and battery charges, jail records show.

Morrow police arrested Moore in connection with an incident that happened at a day care facility in Riverdale in November, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Alex Gontee, who owns the Ty-Lexine Daycare Center, said he arrived and saw Moore and her girlfriend, 27-year-old Kenyata Jackson, attacking a pre-kindergarten teacher.

“She had her face all swollen,” he said. “Her hair was pulled out.”

Gontee said one of Moore’s children told her that the teacher didn’t like them. That’s when Moore brought Jackson to the day care’s after-school program and attacked the teacher, he told Channel 2.

“I was pretty much flabbergasted that they could do stuff like that in front of the kids,” Gontee said.

Moore was granted a $20,000 bond by a Clayton judge Friday, Channel 2 reported.

It’s not clear if Jackson is in custody.
